What does networking mean for coaches?
Many would argue that the number one advantage to being involved in the association are the networking opportunities and being able to grow your community within the profession. THSCA works hard to provide several events throughout the year for coaches to network and share ideas across the state. Our largest opportunity for networking comes at Coaching School each July, where we will host 15-20 separate networking events. We also host THSCA member hospitality events at state championship games. We have national events at both the AVCA and AFCA conventions for all our Texas coaches.
Networking, we have found, is also a key component of our ROCK Mentoring Program. We teach our young coaches, “it’s not about who you know, it’s about who knows you,” so get out and share ideas and grow your circle. It will be key to your success in this profession.
