Coach Alvarez has served the past 26 years as a Head Coach and 34 years total as a teacher and coach in the state of Texas. Coach Alvarez served on the THSCA Board of Directors-Region 6 in 2015-2021.  He led the Ennis Lions to the 5A Division 2 State Championship in 2014. Coach Alvarez has been the Head Coach at West Sabine. Kirbyville where he led the Wildcats to back-to-back state finals. He also was the Head Coach at Copperas Cove, Cuero and finally Marshall where he will be retiring this spring. Coach Alvarez has spent his career coaching high school athletes. He believes a student’s participation in sports creates character, develops leadership and creates confidence that lays a foundation for success beyond the field. Faith, Family and Football have always been a priority for Coach Alvarez.  He is married to Kim who is currently the Special Education Director at Marshall ISD. They have two sons. Brandon Alvarez is the Head Coach and Athletic Director at Garrison High School and Kody Alvarez serves as the Sr. Pastor at Oak Grove Baptist Church in China Sprig, Texas.

Jack and Kim have 3 grandchildren, Ellie 5, Charlotte 4, and Jackson 2.

Ty Ellis has spent the past 20+years in basketball as a professional player and coach at the International, NBA G-league, NBA, and USA basketball levels. Ty is the Co-Founder of The Ellis Performance Group, an Optimal Performance Coaching company, dedicated to fostering Growth Mindset, Leadership, and Empowerment. As a speaker, he shares his inspiring story to motivate, empower, and inspire people into action. He speaks to various companies, organizations, and universities to serve as a conduit to personal and professional success. Ty is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and a master’s degree in education.

Senator Lois W. Kolkhorst is a fifth-generation Texan, with ancestral roots to the Texas War of Independence. A Brenham native, she went on to graduate from TCU where she played collegiate golf.

In December 2014, Kolkhorst was elected to the Texas Senate in a special election, after previously serving fourteen years in the Texas House. Recognized as a fiscal conservative, she is a member of the Senate Finance Committee, and has served three times on the state's budget conference-committee, most recently during the final negotiations on the states $209 billion budget passed in 2015. She also serves as Vice-Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services and has written landmark legislation to toughen Texas laws on medical privacy. She earned statewide attention for crafting alternatives to Obamacare for healthcare providers.

Senator Kolkhorst is a member of the Senate Committee on Education and is considered a longtime friend to parents and teachers as well as colleges and universities. Representing all or part of twenty-one Texas counties, she serves on the Senate Transportation Committee as well as the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Water and Rural Affairs, drafting many laws to protect private property rights.

Known for common sense solutions, Kolkhorst has led many statewide initiatives and written bills that impact every code of Texas law. She made national news for organizing resistance to the Trans-Texas Corridor network of foreign-owned toll roads. Her fight to remove regulatory barriers for small food producers has in recent years sparked a "food freedom" movement across Texas that was featured in Forbes Magazine. Her longtime efforts to promote Texas tourism earned her the Texas Tourism Industry Association's statewide Silver Spur Award.

To fight human smuggling and drug trafficking, she has helped secure over $900 million for border security, and has served on the Texas Sunset Commission, where she cut government waste and worked with law enforcement officials to reform and realign the Texas Department of Public Safety. She has frequently collaborated with CASA and has received their statewide award for her efforts to protect foster children.

Senator Kolkhorst has repeatedly been awarded and endorsed by the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers, Texas Farm Bureau, Texas Wildlife Association, the NRA, Texas State Rifle Association, Texans for Lawsuit Reform, the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas, Texas Department of Public Safety Officers Association, Texas Right to Life, Young Conservatives of Texas and the Texas Association of Business among many others.

Married to her high-school sweetheart Jim, together they have two children, Lois Kate and Jake. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing and gardening. She also coaches Youth Basketball and is a volunteer at her church.

Puja Patel, PhD is an Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and serves as the Director of Pediatric Psychology at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Patel earned her doctoral degree at the University of Texas at Austin, completed her clinical internship at Children's Boston/Harvard Medical School, and her postdoctoral fellowship at Dell Children's Hospital. She has over a decade of clinical experience with children and adolescents with a variety of psychiatric disorders and adjustment to chronic medical illness with a focus on enhancing youth resiliency and optimal functioning. She is active in the training of psychology interns and psychiatry residents, as well as providing lectures and didactics for learners and professionals in the community. She has helped oversee the development and implementation of several community programs in Central Texas with the goal of developing ways to increase and improve access to mental healthcare for children and adolescents including the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine Program and Youth Aware of Mental Health at Dell Medical School. Outside of her work, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her family and loves eating good food in Austin.

Coach Servance is in his 29th year coaching and his 3rd year as head coach of the Ellison High Football Program. Prior to taking over the program he spent

thirteen years as an assistant coach at Odessa Permian and ten seasons as head coach of the Lubbock Estacado Matadors. In his tenure as head coach of the Matadors Coach Servance won 4 district championships and was named District 4A Coach of the year 4 times. He led the Matadors to the playoffs in all ten seasons at Estacado. In 2011 Coach Servance was nominated to coach the USA U19 National Team. In 2016 Coach was named Head coach of Odessa high Bronchos. Dave Campbell Magazine named Coach Servance Inspirational Coach of the Week in week 2 of 2017 and he was also named FCA Impact Awards 2018 Huddle Coach of the Year for 2018.

Coach Servance has been recognized for he and his teams work in the communities in which he has coached. He has been recognized by the diabetes association of Lubbock, Habitat for Humanities in Odessa and the Breast Cancer Awareness Society of Killeen to name a few. Coach Servance takes pride in being one of the few coaches who have coached and played in the Texas High School State Championship Game.

Servance continued his career at Baylor University where he played under legendary coach Grant Teaff and graduated in 1991 with a BA in communication. He is Married to his childhood Sweetheart Sonji J. Servance, he has 3 daughters: Kourtnei Niblett - 33, who is also the head girls basketball Coach at Buda Johnson High School, Yukhari Servance – 23, who

is also a recent graduate of Baylor University like her father and is now employed by SporTherapy as a Clinical Athletic Trainer in Ft. Worth for Texas

Weslyan University and Dhani Servance – 15, a Sophomore at Talkington School for Young Women Leaders.

Wayne Dickens was a 3-year letterman, team captain, and defensive tackle at Auburn University from 2001 to 2005. While a player at Auburn, he was a part of an undefeated team and never lost to in state rival, The University of Alabama. His faith and desire to serve athletes and coaches began when he received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an FCA College Retreat in 2004. Shortly afterward in 2006, Wayne began ministry with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Auburn University. While at Auburn, he fell in love with the opportunity to lead ministry, mentor and develop leadership inside of athletic programs. For the past 17 years, Wayne has been committed to serving and leading coaches and athletes on the campuses of Auburn University, Western Kentucky, and Southern Methodist University. In March 2023, Wayne and his wife, Stacey, launched Athletes United, a 501(c)(3) sports ministry with a vision to unite the hearts of coaches and athletes with Jesus Christ on college campuses all over the nation. Wayne additionally serves as SMU’s Football Character Coach and Team Chaplain. 

He has been married to his wife, Stacey, for 14 years and has three incredible children: Naomi (12), Cannon (9), and Duke (6).

Deb Harris currently serves as the Head Women's Basketball Coach for McKinney High School, a position she has held for the past 19 years. With an impressive tenure of 30 years in the field of education, Harris has dedicated 23 years specifically as a Head Girls Basketball Coach. In addition to her work in McKinney, she has contributed her expertise to various school districts, including Midland, Southlake Carroll, Irving, Keller, and the Ursuline Academy.

Deb Harris has been honored with the esteemed District Coach of the Year title an impressive 5 times, as well as being recognized as the Head Coach of the Year in McKinney Independent School District on three separate occasions. Her dedication to coaching excellence is further complemented by her exceptional achievements outside of athletics. Harris has been designated as the McKinney Independent School District's Inspirational Teacher of the Year an outstanding 7 times, demonstrating her exceptional ability to motivate and inspire her students. Moreover, she holds the unique distinction of being the inaugural recipient of the Pratt Award, the highest athletic accolade bestowed within McKinney ISD.

Fueled by her commitment to servant leadership, Deb Harris endeavors to cultivate in her students a passion for excellence that extends beyond the basketball court. She aspires to empower young individuals to strive for their dreams, all while upholding the highest standards of achievement and character, both within and beyond the realm of sports.

Stephen Mackey, better known to thousands of students and coaches as Coach Mackey, is a character development coach based in Texas. Through live talks, camps, seminars, and curriculum, Mackey equips and encourages high school coaches and athletes to go beyond the game.

In January 2017, Mackey asked the question: “What would it take to help one million athletes and coaches connect the dots between sports and life?” The answer to that question became 2Words Character Development (www.2words.tv). The 2Words Character Development program is built on the core principles of integrity, belief, toughness, relentless effort, excellence, and servant leadership.

Mackey and his team have worked hard to make 2Words one of the top character development programs in the country. In 2021, that hard work paid off as 2Words Character Development became the official character development curriculum of the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA).

Mackey is a first-generation college graduate with a B.S. from Texas A&M University and a M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary. Mackey is currently working on a Doctorate of Ministry, also at Fuller. Among his many accomplishments, Mackey is most proud of his role as a devoted husband and father.

Travis Reeve is in his 25th year of coaching, and 12th year as a head football coach. As an assistant, he began his coaching career in 1998 at his high school alma mater Victoria High School. He then made stops at Plano West, San Antonio MacArthur, Cuero, and San Antonio Churchill. In 2012, he was named head football coach at Cuero High School where he spent 8 seasons, including a 4A Division II State Championship in 2018. In 2020, he became the head football coach at New Caney High School, and spent three seasons there. In 2022, New Caney finished as undefeated District 13-6A Champions and Area Finalist with an 11-2 record, which was the most wins in school history. Following the 2022 season, he took the head football coaching job at El Campo High School. Coach Reeve feels extremely blessed to have worked for and with some extraordinary coaches throughout his career. As an assistant, he had the good fortune of working for his father Mark Reeve, Van Fuschak, and Glenn Hill. He has also worked with the best coaches in the state of Texas as both an assistant and head coach that are too numerous to mention, but have all had a significant impact on the current program today. Most importantly, he credits the many players he has had the privilege to coach over the years for any success their teams have had on and off the field. Coach Reeve comes from a family of educators. His wife Destiny is a Pre-K teacher of 23 years. Their oldest son, Blake Reeve, coaches’ football and powerlifting at Tyler Chapel Hill, and is married to Sydney Reeve. Their daughter Ryleigh is 1 year old. Travis and Destiny’s daughter Ainsley is a volleyball and softball coach at El Campo HS, and their youngest son, Colt, is a freshman at El Campo HS. Travis is also the son of Mark and Jan Reeve. Mark was inducted into the THSCA Hall of Honor in 2007, and Jan was a successful teacher and principal. Travis’ brother, Charlie Reeve, is in his first year as head football coach at Victoria East HS.
